Kylee leads Boomtown Innovation’s video production team. Illuminating the magic in our client programs, she uses video to connect with audiences and craft stories to showcase innovation successes.
Kylee unearths the stories in Boomtown’s open innovation programs and communicates them to our different audiences. An Australian-born digital content/TV producer and entrepreneur, Kylee has received global recognition for her interactive work and start up ideas. Kylee loves working on cutting edge projects.
Kylee started her career in TV, producing programs that have been viewed in more than 100 countries. She founded a production company, Australian Documentaries, which grew into a full-service production house, creating one of ABC Television’s most successful and highest-rated factual series, Family Confidential.
Over the past 10 years Kylee has also designed interactive projects that have received outstanding international marketplace recognition. Her digital properties have been used by some of the world’s leading sport and brand franchises.
Kylee’s leadership in interactive technology has been recognised internationally with nominations and selections at XMedia Lab, SXSW, iKids, Games for Good, Australian Mobi Awards, Sports Technology Awards, and Cannes Content 360.
Team Tap, an event app Kylee developed, was nominated as one of eight best new digital startups at the VC Login Conference in San Francisco. CrowdTV was recognised by Channel4 as one of the best proof-of-concepts in the field of crowd media. Habitat the Game teaches kids about climate change and is used by kids across the globe, and is now the world’s most popular kids’ environmental app.
Kylee has held two Entrepreneur-in-Residence positions, one for Southern Cross University in Lismore, Australia, the other as part of AusIndustry Innovation Funding. She was a founding member and Chair of Founders and Angels Northern Rivers. Kylee created a masterclass “Startup Culture for Screen” for Screen Producers Australia and The Australian Film Television and Radio School. Kylee has worked with Compton School to establish Tenacity Labs, an entrepreneur program for creative businesses.
Kylee is interested in helping grow the arts sector and was on the board of Northern Rivers Performing Arts and the business advisory panel for AFTRS Open. She has a Master in Sustainable Development from Macquarie University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts and a post-graduate diploma in Modern Greek.
